	Flotilla 88 in Lake County, is located in the north central portion of the state of California, north of the San Francisco Bay Area. It takes its name from Clear Lake, the dominant geographic feature in the county. The central geographical feature of Lake County being Clear Lake, the largest natural lake wholly within California (unlike Lake Tahoe which is partially in Nevada). In Clear Lake fish for bass, catfish, crappie and bluegill. Blue Lakes has trout, catfish, bluegill and crappie. Highland Springs Reservoir has catfish, bass, crappie and bluegill. Indian Valley Reservoir has trout, bass, catfish and perch. Lake Pillsbury has bass and sunfish. Clear Lake is served by the Volunteer Members of Flotilla 88. Some of the vital missions performed are Boating Safety Classes, Courtesy Vessel Safety Checks, Lake patrol w/local Sherriff Department, Search & Rescue (SAR) on the Lake, etc. Commander: Betty A.
